Remembering Mothers at West Lothian Crematorium
West Lothian Crematorium will be remembering mothers next month as local families are invited to pay tribute to their maternal loved ones.
On Friday 17 March, local people – adults and children - are being invited to visit the site’s chapel between 2.30pm and 4pm where they will be able to participate in a simple art activity to create a personal tribute to those they have lost.
Visitors will also be able to write personal messages to their loved ones on tags which will be added to a memory tree.
West Lothian Crematorium is part of Westerleigh Group, the UK’s largest owner and operator of crematoria and cemeteries, with 37 sites in England, Scotland, and Wales, all set within beautifully landscaped gardens of remembrance which provide pleasant, peaceful places for people to visit and reflect.
Carole Rae, Site Manager at West Lothian Crematorium, said: “Mother’s Day can be a particularly poignant time for those who have lost their mum or mother-figure, or for mothers who have been bereaved of a child.
“We are inviting local families to visit us during this period and to craft a very personal keepsake in memory of their loved ones.
“We hope that visiting us will bring comfort to anyone who needs it during this special time of the year.”
